Halogen Light Bulbs

Halogen Light Bulbs

AtlantaLightBulbs.com carries high quality PAR38 floods, MR16 reflector lamps, we have halogen light bulbs for almost any commercial or general lighting application that fit any budget. Some of our most popular halogen bulbs include:

Halogen light bulbs have a longer operating life, brilliant crisp white light and they have a higher luminous efficacy when compared to traditional incandescent light bulbs. Halogen light bulbs offer great light when used for decorateive, accent and task lighting. The halogen lamps offer a better performance when compared to incandescent bulbs because they have inert gasses inside the lamp.  Halogen lamps are  made from a much stronger quartz material, so  the gas pressure can be much higher and the bulb can burn hotter than a standard incandescent. These lamps have extremely high CRI ratings and they have almost zero lumen maintenance. Halogen & Haloxen lamps are filled with halogen, xenon, iodine and bromine gasses. These gases are heated up and the gas molecules bond with the vaporizing tungsten molecules when the light bulb is turned on. When this happens the gases are re-deposited onto the tungsten burner filament which greatly improves the lifespan of the bulb.

Due to recent mandates by the Department of Energy, many of the traditional halogen lamps used over the past are being phased out. The Halogen and Xenon lamps have very low lumen per watt ratings as compared to the new LED PAR lamps on the market. The cost on the halogen lamps are staying about the same and the cost for LED PAR replacement lamps going down day by day.
